McGraw had shaped the program into a consistent winner over the previous decade, but the Fighting Irish didn't yet matter nationally. A native of Camden in Wilcox County, she embarked on a career of public service to benefit her fellow Alabamians. Niele Ivey arrived at Ivey originally joined the Fighting Irish womens basketball coaching staff in May 2007 (she added the title of recruiting coordinator in 2012 and was promoted to associate head coach in the summer of 2015).
